artists impression of the Water Towers installation at night

Bruce Munro's Water-Towers is now on show in the cloister at Salisbury Cathedral.

Munro's inspiration for this piece can be traced back to when aged 21 he read a book called Gifts of Unknown Things by Lyall Watson. Watson describes Tia, a young girl living on an island in the indonesian archipelago, who possesses the magical gift of seeing sounds in colour. Years later Tia's Synesthesia inspired Munro to create a colourful, watery, musical maze which seems to dance as the lights change to the music.
